Building upon the mature architecture of the previous generation Volume, the Volume S upgrades its drivers by moving from composite units to two ingependent high and mid-frequency balanced armature drivers with separate output pathways. This results in clearer treble and fuller mids. Additionally, it uses an active + passive dynamic driver bass combo, ensuring purer, more powerful bass.
- Self-Developed Special Diaphragm, ED Series Balanced Armature. The Volume S features a self-developed full-range driver. The use of a full-range driver has always been Softears tuning approach. By using a single driver or a group of drivers as full-range units, it helps to harmonize the tonal balance, making the headphones sound more cohesive without any sense of disjointedness or detachment. lts like mixing red and blue aint to create a beautiful purple.
- Artistic Faceplate. Aluminum Metal Meets Forged Carbon Fiber. The Volume S features a panel crafted from two different materials: the base frame is made from aluminum alloy, precision 5 axis CNC-machined with a sandblasted anodized finish that gives it a smooth, matte texture. The center is inlaid with a forged carbon fiber. Each piece of carbon fiber undergoes multiple manufacturing processes, from laying, stamping, and temperature control to forging and final CNC processing. The texture of each piece is unique. Depending on the angle, the light reflects differently, creating a bright, shimmering effect, showcasing a distinct and exclusive design.
- Strip Pressure Relief Technology. Relieving Ear Pressure. The Volume S uses a physical rear-chamber pressure release structure combined with a built-in front-chamber high-pass filter patent(Patent No.: CN 215420702 U,authorized).This technology provides the necessary foundation for impressive bass performance while also eliminating ear pressure issues that often arise from fully sealed enclosures when dynamic drivers operate. This ensures a more comfortable fit for in-ear monitors while delivering natural, full bass.
- Dual Tuning Modes, Tailored to Your "Personal" Preferences. The Volume S is specially designed with two distinct tuning modes and two separate crossover systems, allowing you to switch between them using the switch on the faceplate. One mode simulates a standard HRTF room acoustic system, perfect for listening to pop music, creating the sensation of being at a live performance. The other mode simulates a HiFi audio system with a natural -6dB high-frequency attenuation, offering a comfortable, natural listening experience that reduces fatigue, making it ideal for symphonic or classical music.
