- NO VOLTAGE LOSS: Compared with traditional diode battery isolators, FET isolators have almost no voltage loss. At low currents, the voltage drop is less than 0.02 V. At high currents, it averages 0.1 V. This means that discharging the auxiliary battery will not cause the starter battery to discharge as well, keeping the battery in a stable state.
