- THE TOUCH DIGITIZER IS NOT IN THIS BOX: What arrives is the LCD panel that sits behind the glass, so this is the part to order when the picture is cracked, lined, dim or dead while taps still register. If the touch input is what has failed, the layer you need is the digitizer and that is a different part sold on its own.
- ONLY FOR THE LITE, MODEL HDH-001: Made for a Switch Lite and nothing else, this panel drops into every shell color because each Lite uses the same display inside. It is not for the original Switch, not for the OLED model and not for Switch 2, and all three take a screen of a different size and connector.
- EIGHT ITEMS COME IN THE BOX AND THE TOOLS ARE PART OF THEM: The LCD comes with a Y screwdriver and a plus screwdriver in the same 1.5 size. The kit also has a curved tweezer, a green crowbar, a triangle pick, a cleaning brush and four screws, and between them these tools open the rear cover and lift the old panel out.
- TWO RIBBONS MUST SEAT BEFORE THE PICTURE COMES BACK: The wide ribbon carries the display and the narrow one feeds the light board, and both press into the same board. A black screen at first power on nearly always means one of the two is tilted or not pushed home, so power the console up and check the picture before you close the shell.
- GIVE IT AN UNHURRIED HOUR AND A CLEAN MAT: The screws are JIS type, the ribbons are thin and the panel sits under a shield plate, so the job rewards patience over speed. Every panel is tested before it ships, and no printed guide comes in the box, so line up a repair video before you open the console.
