Publicada en 1930, "Mientras agonizo" es la quinta novela del escritor estadounidense William Faulkner (18971962). Escrita a lo largo de seis semanas y fuertemente influenciada por el modernismo literario de la época, la obra narra la historia de la muerte de Addie Bundren. Con un total de quince narradores distintos, navegamos entre los pensamientos de cada uno de los personajes acerca del suceso y vemos cómo la familia se afana por cumplir con la última voluntad de la fallecida: ser enterrada junto a los suyos.
